Alpha Squad
Medics Ambulance Service is pleased to introduce our newest initiative in Pre/Post Hospital care.
The Alpha Squad is our most elite and advanced team of employees, vehicles, and equipment. This highly trained team is used exclusively for Pediatric, Critical Care, and Emergency Interfacility transports.
In order to become a part of the "Alpha Squad", team members must have a minimum of 5 years experience in EMS and go through an extensive selection process. In addition to standard certifications, these personnel must be certified in PALS, 12 lead ECG interpretation, advanced pharmacology training for Critical Interfacility Transfers, IV Pump familiarization, and Interfacility Ventilator Certification. Furthermore, monthly training maintains their skills at the highest level possible.
Alpha Units carry Zoll M-Series 12 lead cardiac monitors, Portable IV Pumps, and Impact Eagle portable ventilators. The equipment these vehicles carry was not chosen based on chance or price. Everything is picked based on the preferences of the team members, proven industry reviews, and overall performance reputations. The Impact Eagle is one of the highest rated portable ventilators in the world. It is used extensively in the Air Ambulance Industry, the United States Military, and is found onboard the International Space Station and Air Force One.
